Bradley and Barney Walsh continue their European adventure in Germany.

They head to the city of Frankfurt, where Brad is pushed to the edge, literally, as he attempts to abseil down the side of a building, facing forwards.

The boys also make a stop at a bratwurst themed hotel and soak up some local Bavarian culture when they have a go at Finger Wrestling.

The pair finish off their time in Germany with a wet and wild adventure in the mountains.

I do love the format of this episode if albeit not a fan of the voiceover that narrates Bradley and Barney’s journey, it just feels a bit cheesy and out of place.

Here are this episodes tasks:

House Running Down The Side of a Building

Looking up at the giant multi-story building I was getting a bit clammy.

Barney never seems to take his poor old dad into consideration when doing these challenges but at the end of the day they’re no doubt getting paid to do this so at least there’s some consolation there for the sheer amount of fear-inducing tasks that Bradley undertakes.

Standing on the edge of the building that feeling must be absolutely catastrophic and there’s Barney reassuring his dad that he doesn’t have to do it…

After signing him up, telling him advance and then roping him into actually getting him in his gear and standing on the edge of the building.

As always Bradley has the courage of a lion and before we know it they’re both walking down the side of a building.

Hilariously singing the Mission Impossible theme tune as they go down I thought was brilliant.

I know from past experience of doing height tasks anything you can do to distract you or take your mind off it makes everything so much easier.

Episode 3 definitely jumped into the deep end with the most daunting task before taking a more relaxing turn in the sausage hotel.

Sausage Hotel

After being introduced to one of the friendliest humans to grace ITV in quite some time Barney and Bradley get a tour of their sausage themed hotel room.

Complete with Sausage for Breakfast, Dinner and Tea it definitely looked like a rather quirky and crazy place to stay the night.

It now also makes me hungry for a nice Hickory’s smokehouse meal, which reminds me, they’re now delivering smokehouse food straight to your door during lockdown with Hickories at Home.

They haven’t sponsored me in anyway shape or form but please do click the link above and check them out if you’re feeling in the mood for true authentic American smokehouse delights!

Finger Wrestling

They’re definitely plugging the gaps with this one as this Bavarian tradition has been taken way too seriously.

Meeting a champion of the ‘sport’ the pair begin their finger wrestling matches.

There’s actually a gym to train your fingers for the champions.

I couldn’t stop laughing at the gym but then both Brad and Barney came out with their lederhosen I lost it completely.

But the fact remains the last two segments have really been scraping the barrel it certainly feels as though they limit the episodes to two major tasks and two filler segments so far.

Mountain Abseil

Abseiling down waterfalls and between rocks the height isn’t too bad for Bradley and he smashes this one with ease.

The water provided a nice safety blanket if he ever fell.

It certainly didn’t live up to the hype of the insane climbing wall finale of last weeks episode although the slide down the side of the mountain looked like great fun!

Roll on episode 3!
