A series that has already kept me hooked two weeks in a row, can third time be a charm in Top Gear Season 30 Episode 3?

Freddie, Chris and Paddy head out on an icy expedition across the wild Scottish Highlands in the new Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G-Wagen and Ariel Nomad. Which will prove itself the ultimate off-roader?
Bringing a nice cooling effect to the absolute fire of last Sunday’s episode we take a nice chilling trip across the Scottish Highlights.
Well, it was a chilling trip until Freddie Flintoff stormed the show with an Ariel Nomad which is an absolutely beautiful piece of kit.
Some of the tests absolutely put the car through their paces as the G-Wagen showed its absolute insane power and speed in a car over 2 tonnes as Paddy absolutely smashes that.
Either that or it was absolutely incredible editing.
The brand new Land Rover Defender lacked the G-Wagen power and just seemed a bit clunky in comparison to a G-Wagen which was a really surprising result.
With a car capable of 0-60 in 3 and a half seconds Freddie absolutely dominated the course but you’d expect absolutely nothing less from a car designed for this but a car so exposed to the elements means the driver has a big role to play in the cars efficiency with mud and debris flying all over the place which is why Freddie’s lap was definitely a little slower than perhaps it should have been.
What I’ve noticed about every episode so far as that I’m so engrossed in the group dynamic and just how breezy each segment flows into another that the time absolutely flies by, the episode comes to a conclusion and I’m trying to extend my thoughts for this very review.
The fact of the matter is, if a movie or a television keeps you hooked from start to finish, laughing along the way and absolutely invested in the characters on screen you’re certainly on to a winner.
I couldn’t care less about a Land Rover Defender or a G-Wagen personally but somehow these guys made exciting and engaging television and it’s becoming a show that with every episode passed is living up to its original presenters standards and that’s no mean feat.
With an absolute belter of a highlight of jet-skiing almost across tarmac being dragged by a car sparks absolutely flying from metal plates on their feet knowing that any second you could let go and bail at speeds over 50mph.
It’s heart in mouth stuff and it’s brilliant, the sparks are flying in more ways than one!
