Here in the UK we are absolutely starved of themed cups and popcorn buckets when it comes to film releases and on the rare occasion that we do receive some for any given title release on the big screen we never quite get the best version of the range with the US options absolutely wiping the floor with ours every, single time.
On this occasion however we are getting a special cup that is also being released in the United States but there is one catch, it’s extortionately priced!
I’ve rubbed my eyes multiple times and refreshed the website to see if it’s a typo or set to be updated after being an editor mistake, nope.
For a plastic drinking cup WITHOUT a drink included you’re talking £16.99.
God damn.
It’s a stark contrast from the Popcorn Tin that Vue are releasing for the movie which is actually very affordable at £5.99.
These two pieces of merchandise will be available from the 27th of February to coincide with the films release and I still have no question that these will most likely sell out, they’re usually very collectible.
I remember when the last Scream came out and they released a limited-edition Ghostface mask popcorn bucket and those sold out over in the States and the resale price was absolutely astronomical at the time!
After exploring the recent FREE one-day pop up for Scream 7 in London I’m so pumped for this upcoming instalment, I love when films do pop-ups and cool promotions for the film that really allow you to be a part of the film.
