A LEGO Jumanji Board Game looks to be released in the months to come as it has been officially approved to go into production.
Through the LEGO Ideas platform the board game garnered over 10,000 approvals which then allows LEGO to take a look and consider it for mass production.
Thankfully for the creator and for fans of the Jumanji franchise out there the set will now be available to purchase and go into full production.
I must say the detail on this is incredible and the level of detail that the creator has gone into with this particular build is truly outstanding.
It opens and closes just like the real board game set and comes complete with mini figures including Alan Parrish (trapped in the game), Alan Parrish (freed), Sarah Whittle, Peter Shepherd, Judy Shepherd, Van Pelt, and Carl Bentley.
Not only that but the game tokens (Elephant, Crocodile, Monkey, and Rhinoceros) Dice are also included.
If you close your eyes you can hear the sound of the drums already and I genuinely can’t wait for this set to be released.
Whilst I do love LEGO I feel many of the sets out there aren’t exactly display worthy (my own personal opinion) and it takes something very special for me to want a LEGO set and it’s my own rotten luck that the ones I do gravitate towards cost an absolute fortune!
The LEGO Ideas website allows fans to vote on various builds but once a design hits 10,000 votes it’s then sent to a team of LEGO Designers, Product Managers and Executives who pick a handful of designs a year to go into production.
LEGO creators are also included in the product marketing materials itself along with receiving a 1% of net profit of sales which could be very lucrative for the designer!
This particular set looks like it’ll be more affordable at first glance but we’ll see what happens when the official launch drops and we can scoop one up for ourselves!
