Situated just a few doors down from the iconic Pasaje Del Terror horror maze and Ripley’s Believe it or Not in Blackpool lies the Horror Crypt. An alternative horror attraction packed full of animatronics, life-size replicas and cool little interactive horror elements scattered throughout.

UPDATE – This attraction has now sadly closed down but we’ve left this article up for you to enjoy the images/bit of horror magic that this attraction brought to the seafront. The attraction will always be immortalised in the iconic The Killer – Here With Me music video starring legendary actress Wynona Ryder.

Priced at a very reasonable £3 per person Horror Crypt has been at Blackpool Pleasure Beach for almost 40 years. After a revamp in January 2017 this attraction is something that every horror fan should visit when in Blackpool.

Movie Props Horror Crypt Blackpool

Props from Arachnophobia, Hostel, Dog Soldiers and Texas Chainsaw Massacre litter the cabinets as you enter. Being a prop collector myself I knew where each item was no doubt obtained from and recognised some Movie Prop Warehouse and Raybin Management pieces straight off the bat. The items on display are a damn good start for any horror movie prop collection I only wished there were more of them!

Various replica life-size figures, torture equipment, serial killer dummy’s and famous faces from the world of horror line the corridors. Everywhere you turn there’s a photo opportunity and it’s good fun checking out the old school animatronics.

The Horror Crypt is a very cool little addition to Pleasure Beach. Good fun at a great price. There’s really not much you can complain about. However, it would be nice to see more movie props in the establishment and the sets around the life-size figures should be more detailed but being an on-going constantly evolving attraction i’m sure it’s on the to-do list!
