Test your skills at Extraordinary Golf with this highly detailed 18-hole course featuring various holes themed after rides and attractions at Alton Towers Resort.

Priced at just £7 per person you can choose to do the 9-hole course for £5 or add another 9-holes for an extra £2. As far as pricing goes this is very competitive especially for a theme park and the level of detail across the course is impressive.

You can shoot across a lake at the Galactica hole or dive down the Oblivion hole. It’s quite fun hearing the various ride theme songs playing around each hole and also hearing the roar of Nemesis in the background. Like music to a coaster enthusiasts ears.

With incredibly themed holes the course is always popular amongst park guests both young and old. Every single time i’ve been to Alton Towers i’ve always managed to find time for a round of golf. The numerous ways you can approach the holes, various obstacles and trick-shots in your path. Every time is a different experience.

For those more skilled in the crazy golf world you can try you hand at the harder routes. If you’re a beginner the easy routes are clearly labelled on each holes course marker.

Scenic Embellishment plays a large part around the course. There are some holes themed after rides that no longer exist at the park such as Ripsaw and The Flume. I personally think these holes should be re-themed to match current rides at the park. A Wicker Man hole or even a Dungeon themed hole would be cool.

Overall
Alton Towers has seen the addition of the Alton Towers Dungeon, the recently re-opened Treetop Adventure and the Stargazing Pods. There is so much to see and do at Alton Towers it’s like a small city!
Fun for all the family Extraordinary golf is a perfect way to start / end your day at the park!
