After Netflix’s Don’t F**k With Cats chilled me to my very soul I wasn’t sure I was ready for this next one.
A true crime doc mixed with a sports biography.
A three part mini-series about the high profile murder case involving New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez.
Sentenced for murder months before his fourth NFL season and right before the Patriots played the Seahawks in Super bowl XLIX.
This Netflix documentary still leans towards a guilty stance even thou Hernandez was ultimately acquitted of double murder.
The documentary doesn’t offer any new insight about the case but it does try to answer questions that seem impossible to answer.
An almost psychoanalysis of a man they don’t even really know as they dig up his history and almost make us believe for a second that this man is innocent.
The verdict is still out on that one.
Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez dwells into Aaron Hernandez’s backstory, his possible bisexuality and more.
The documentary almost seems to force us to believe the filmmakers way of thinking or opinions.
We don’t have any choice but to witness a bias documentary made by bias filmmakers.
The crime scene footage and information we are fed is tough to watch and listen to.
Hernandez committed suicide on the same day the Patriots visited the White House after their fifth Super Bowl win.
It does seem as thou Hernandez’s fame as a footballer was a good mask to hide his true nature.
Despite what this documentary would have us believe.
Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez Review by Sean Evans
Summary
A story told to death (excuse the pun) but not one I’d want to be watching again or recommending. A one time watch and it’s back to the grind!
