Bad Boys for Life is one hell of a movie but its also got poor competition to thank for what looks to be the biggest January release of all time.
Bad Boys 3 Becomes Biggest January Release
For a third week straight Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett are laying waste to the competition. Picking up a nice $17.7 million and is still going strong with our total at $148 million currently.
Already the highest-grossing Bad Boys film to date and throughly deserved. A film set an insane 17 years after Bad Boys II but still has all the heart, laughs and action you could possibly want in a movie.
Bad Boys for Life Review
The story revolves around the leader of a Miami drug cartel who has escaped from prison who sends her son to kill people involved in her husbands death / capture. Detective Mike Lowery (Will Smith) is on that list but there’s more to the story than just revenge.
After opening to stellar reviews with many feeling as thou the vibe of the previous two movies had been captured perfectly in modern day.
Other reviewers loved the fresh new take on the Bad Boys duo with their chemistry burning strong after all these years.
Lack of Competition Paves the way for Bad Boys to Shine
But with poor openings from Gretel & Hansel, The Rhythm Section and the tanking of The Turning, there’s no one to stop our dynamic duo. Dolittle opened to horrific reviews (as expected) so you show up at a theatre and only have one choice. Bad Boys!
With Birds of Prey approaching fast it seems as thou Bad Boys for Life will take a step down from the throne. The highly anticipated Harley Quinn movie looks like a refreshing direction for DC. Bonkers, crazy, vibrant and incredible. People who have had the honour of seeing the movie early have said nothing but good things about it.
We’ll be first in line to check it out that’s for sure but until then. Bad Boys 3 becomes biggest January release. Cue the music. Bad Boys, Bad Boys what you gonna do? What you gonna do when they come for you!
