After our comprehensive Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi review the other day we sat down and had a real think about what our best rides were at this phenomenal indoor theme park.

Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi is certainly a dark ride paradise with beautifully themed rides on a trackless ride system taking you around numerous sets and interactions on your journey.
The venue does have rollercoasters but we thought they were second best to the dark rides on offer here at the park despite Fast and Furry-Ous being a very fun ride indeed!

We’ve narrowed it down to our favourite four dark rides so without further ado here are our best rides at Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.
Batman: Knight Flight

Batman: Knight Flight may just be one of the most futuristic rides we’ve ever experienced as you sit atop a robot (yes, a robot) as this armed dark ride system takes you on a wild flight over the streets of Gotham.
Combining screens with stunning movie-quality sets and animatronics this state-of-the-art flight experience really is the pinnacle of immersive storytelling.
Thinkwell Group provided the concept design and production of the ride and this phenomenal experience immersed me into a dark ride like never before, simply sitting in the arms of a robot was surreal enough without all of the other things happening around you!
The synopsis of the ride as per the website reads as follows:
Stepping into Wayne Tech, guests are soon recruited by Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, for a special mission utilizing one of his company’s new “Drone Wing” crime-fighting aircraft. Once again the Joker has escaped from Arkham Asylum and is wreaking havoc on the streets of Gotham using some sort of suspicious “control device.” It’s up to guests to help Batman capture the Clown Prince of Crime and his merry coterie of supervillains, all of whom have a few diabolical tricks up their sleeves…
What I will say that is that experiencing a ride that travels around a track whilst you’re sat strapped into a robotic arm is such a futuristic concept for a ride.
Thinkwell group have developed something truly special in association with Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi as not only is this ride immersive but is very futuristic in its design.
I’d absolutely kill for a ride such as this to grace our shores here in the UK as theming and beautiful transitions between scenes make for a truly unique and wonderfully immersive experience.
The Flintstones Bedrock River Adventure

A sign before you get on the ride says ‘You May Get Wet’ as is the standard for water rides. They definitely didn’t say you’d get ABSOLUTELY SOAKED!
The Flintstones Bedrock River Adventure got us absolutely drenched after our scenic boat tour of Bedrock.
Join Fred, Barney, Wilma and the gang on this beautifully themed boat ride during the Stonennial Celebration complete with dinosaurs, a turn table segment featuring a 270-degree screen, beautiful projections and animatronics and that unbelievable final drop.
Immersive and quite frankly magical, I wish this boat ride lasted forever as you meet the characters of Bedrock who are all portrayed in their own quirky ways before you enter a screened section before plummeting down into the aforementioned final drop.
Depending on how heavy your boat is will entirely depend on how wet you get with the back row very much being the splash zone!
Scooby-Doo and the Museum of Mysteries
This amazing dark ride brought my childhood back to life as this trackless experience allows you to join Scooby and the gang as they solve the mystery of the museum.
Combining classic and innovative dark ride special effects this beautiful system has you even encountering Scooby and Shaggy on their own Mystery Machine train (the same as the one you board to start the ride) that has been possessed by a ghost, it’s so clever and unique and I’ve never seen this before in a dark ride as another train is chasing you through the museum in a classic hallway chase.
It’s hard to pick a favourite of out of these four rides in the list, the concepts are just above and beyond anything I’ve witnessed before and how they’re implemented with such high quality is highly commendable.
Many companies would cost-cut all of these experiences to deliver a more toned-down cost-effective option but certainly not at Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi. They wanted the best and they got the best!
Justice League Warworld Attacks
This ride certainly reminded me of Batman Knight Flight without the arm in the sense that this trackless ride perfectly combined screens and physical sets.
Usually, screens on rides are a dealbreaker for me but when they’re contained within a well-themed environment they fit in with the story beautifully and you really feel like you’re on an adventure like no other.
Many companies advertise ‘seamless’ integration with their dark rides. Still, for anyone who has done a UK dark ride such as Gangsta Granny the Ride at Alton Towers, you know that statement is absolutely rubbish.

Justice League Warworld Attacks is up there with some of the best dark rides in the world!
The queue line entry building themed around the Halls of Justice is probably one of the most impressive introductions to a queue line that I’ve seen in my life.
Warner Bros World prides itself on immersive experience from start to finish. The second you walk into the building you are transported right into the worlds they have created. One minute you’re in Gotham the next you’re in Cartoon Junction before being whisked away to Bedrock after stopping by for a quick flight with Superman in Metropolis.

This is one theme park that sets the bar very high and one can only dream of having something like it right here in the UK.
We need to fast forward to a future where a big company decides to build an indoor theme park in the UK (a perfect answer to our terrible weather) and just watch as that business would soar!

Oh, I do look forward to that day!
