Bill Skarsgård takes on the iconic role of THE CROW in this modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by James O’Barr.

The long-awaited remake of The Crow will certainly have some big shoes to fill as this iconic cult classic known for its dark ambience, tragic narrative, and poignant themes, was set to be resurrected for a new generation of audiences.
With the director on board (Rupert Sanders), attention turned to casting. Who would step into the iconic role of Eric Draven (originally played by the late Brandon Lee), the vengeful spirit seeking justice for his murdered fiancée? After much deliberation, Bill Skarsgård, Pennywise himself was chosen for the role.

Director Ruper Sanders said to Vanity Fair:
What drew me to this was the opportunity to make a dark romance, something that dealt with loss, grief, and the ethereal veil between life and death and reaching through that.
Look, I grew up listening to Joy Division and the Cure, and this movie is a bit like a Cure song—the beauty of melancholy.
The synopsis for the film reads as follows:
Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them.
Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.

THE CROW WILL RELEASED BY ENTERTAINMENT FILM DISTRIBUTORS IN UK & IRISH CINEMAS IN SUMMER 2024
