New for 2020 the WB Studio Tour London announced Bottled Butterbeer available in the tour shop and available for delivery. Does it taste the same as the original? Here’s my bottled butter beer review.
A fan favourite beverage from the Wizarding World is now available to be delivered straight to you door.
Best served chilled and poured straight from the bottle enjoy your very own Butterbeer in the comfort of your own home.
It’s a soft drink that divides opinion with some fans absolutely loving every single sip and others saying it’s just a bit too sweet.
For me personally, the drink is definitely sweet indeed and my first sample of the drink on the studio tour had me torn.
There was a buttery froth on the top that was nothing short of spectacular and the drink itself was very sweet indeed.
I had to see if the bottled version was similar so I placed my order.
Brewed in the UK this bottled Butterbeer comes in a souvenir glass bottle with a label designed exclusively by MinaLima.
MinaLima were behind some of the designs of various props used in the production of the movie.
The drink is vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free and shipping is available within the UK only.
Ingredients: carbonated water, sugar, glucose syrup, pear juice concentrate, natural flavours, acid (lactic acid), fermented ginger root extract (water, glucose syrup, ginger root, pear juice concentrate, yeast), concentrate (apple, carrot, hibiscus), quillaia extract.
The Butterbeer arrives in a Three Broomsticks themed cardboard box and the bottle is the perfect size.
For such a sickly tasting drink I think a bigger bottle would be far too much.
I think this size is just right for the type of drink it is.
At the end of the day I have a feeling most people will be purchasing this product more for the souvenir bottle than the drink itself.
It’s a shame that a special tankard or glass was designed for this brand new release.
So how does it taste?
One sip of this drink and I was straight back at the studio tour pulling faces.
Faces of intense sweetness mixed with that syrupy almost festive taste that comes with it.
Just like it was on the studio tour it’s a very Marmite type of drink and i’m still on the fence about it.
All the same Bottled Butterbeer is here so cheers to you!
