Is there any truth to the rumor going around on social media that there is a Cats butthole cut?
Last night writer Jack Waz posted a tweet that would change his next 24 hours forever.
A man who told the story of a legend that we dare not speak its name out loud.
So secretive in its nature but the crowds listened and demanded more.

A VFX producer friend of a friend was hired in November to finish some of the 400 effects shots in @catsmovie. His entire job was to remove CGI buttholes that had been inserted a few months before. Which means that, somewhere out there, there exists a butthole cut of Cats

Twitter absolutely blew up last night when Jack posted this very tweet. Single-handedly diverting attention away from the Coronavirus pandemic and instantly onto Cats buttholes.
Jack states that his friend was tasked with removing every butthole placed on a cat throughout the entire Cats movie. Twitter went crazy and not long after ‘Release the Butthole Cut’ was trending.
One of 2019’s worst movies by a long country mile Cats has certainly made itself known for all the wrong reasons. Actor Seth Rogen took to Twitter himself a few days ago amidst self-isolation and watched Cats for the first time whilst high. His social media reactions were hilarious!
As of this moment in time, the news hasn’t been confirmed. This could all be a very cool distraction technique to take our minds off the apocalypse happening outside our doors right now.
Can you imagine the production meeting if this story was true? The ins and outs (excuse the pun) of butthole implementation on these CGI cats. They certainly don’t teach that in film school!
Cats is a weird, baffling and overall incredibly awful experience but maybe just maybe a butthole or two could save us all.
