These Cinemark Scream Popcorn Buckets are INSANE!

These Cinemark Scream popcorn buckets are an absolute treat and I only hope they come to the UK very soon!

Costing just $15 these Scream popcorn buckets are going down an absolute treat and are even fetching for upwards of $100 on the resale market due to the high collectable value the piece has.

There are not many popcorn buckets you could proudly display on your movie shelf amongst your horror collection and with it commemorating the release of the film they’re getting swooped up real fast!

Only select locations have the bucket available and a friend across the pond, Damir Catic, managed to scoop up one and allowed us to share this photo with you guys right here on Back to the Movies.

Not only does it look awesome but it actually looks very well-moulded. The plastic looks thick and the quality seems to justify the $15 for the Scream Ghostface costume bucket and that’s without collectors value added to it.

In just one month’s time Scream will be hitting the big screens over here in the UK as Ghostface takes to the big apple in a very Jason Takes Manhattan style way with a twist.

This self-aware horror franchise just keeps finding legs and box office success and the screenwriters seem to be pushing the boundaries with each and every instalment but this particular instalment seems to be the most daring yet.

Check out the advert for the Cinemark Scream popcorn buckets as posted by Cinemark on their official social media.

Completely throwing Ghostface out of Woodsboro and straight into New York City will be interesting. Seeing how Ghostface adapts to this big city environment but also how the filmmakers will contain the character within this wide open planned arena for slaughter.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream, Ready or Not),  return behind the camera for this one and the cast is absolutely stacked.

Melissa Barrera (“Sam”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy”), Mason Gooding (“Chad”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara”), Dermot MulroneySamara Weaving (Ready or Not, Mayhem, The Babysitter, “Ash vs Evil Dead”), Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming & No Way Home), Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (The Beach House), Devyn Nekoda (“Ghostwriter”), Josh Segarra (“Arrow), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) also star along with Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere back in their roles of Gale and the much-anticipated return of Kirby.

Scream VI

There’s not long to wait now to see Scream on the big screen and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the icon adapts to the new surroundings with shotgun in hand…. yes, that’s still annoying me.

Speaking of the shotgun in SFX magazine, Bettinelli-Olpin said: “We don’t want it to be safe. We don’t want it to be boring. We want it to be fun and to raise eyebrows.

“When we heard ‘Ghostface in New York and he has a shotgun’ it was like: ‘What?!’ The two feelings of ‘What are we doing?’ and ‘We have to do it!’ are often intrinsically tied and that was a perfect example of that.”

“There are a tonne of fun, wonderful, classic Ghostface moments, but it’s not the pratfalling Ghostface,” Gillet added.

“We love that, but for this to be scary and to achieve a level of visceral tension, we wanted to put the character more in the real world. If Ghostface is trying to get through a door, it’s going to happen! There’s no giving up. When he’s in pursuit, the pursuit doesn’t end until he’s achieved his goal.”

I mean, I see their point but they’re taking the character out of its typecast and as we’ve seen for many years now, it just annoys the horror fans so be prepared for the backlash chaps. It has already begun!

Check out the latest trailer for the movie above. Are you looking forward to seeing Ghostface on the big screen once again?

It’s going to be a screamer!

UPDATE – 25/02/2023

Scream Popcorn PreOrder

After instantly selling out at select Cinemark locations the movie theatre has today opened up presale including overseas shipping.

The presale closes March 17 at midnight and international shipping is a pricey $20 to the UK with the head itself selling for $19.99.

Of course, we snagged one (why wouldn’t we) but even we have to admit the shipping cost seems a little ridiculous costing more than the price of the item itself.
