It’s been one hell of a catapult for actress Cobie Smulders. Fresh out of How I Met Your Mother and straight into the Marvel universe.
Now things are to take another step. The highlight of any celebrity. Your very own character on The Simpsons.
That’s when you know you can look back on your career in 20 years time and know you’ve made it.
Cobie Smulders on The Simpsons
Back in October, 2019 it was reported that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige and Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo were set to star in The Simpsons.
TV Line has announced that they will now be joined by Cobie Smulders and her husband Taran Killam.
The episode will be titled ‘Bart the Bad Guy’, which will see two more executives (Russos) on a mission to stop Bart from spoiling the latest instalment of the popular Vindicator superhero franchise after he gets a ‘sneak’ preview.
Kevin Feige will play the film’s super villain Chinnos, while Smulders and Killam are playing the superheroes Hydrangea and Airshot.
You can see Smulders and Killam’s character designs below.

Marvel Winks and Nods
I laughed out loud when I saw that the villain would be called Chinnos. Thanos whilst being compared to a giant grape for the most part of fan commentary also had a rather large chin.
This little wink and nod make me chuckle.
Naming the superheroes Hydrangea (Hydra?) and Airshot is also amusing.
Was Airshot a little dig at DC’s Deadshot?
There were rumours that a Deadshot movie was in the works (it might still be) but Birds of Prey was released instead. Big mistake.
It’ll be awesome to hear the Russos, Kevin Feige, Taran Killam and Cobie Smulders on The Simpsons.
No date has been released for when this show is set to go on air but we’ll be keeping an eye out!
