Terror in the Skies Review
Terror in the Skies explores many accounts of an encounter with huge winged creatures around the Land of Lincoln. Released by Small Town Monsters this documentary explores the strange sightings and the witnesses who saw such events.

The documentary takes a very intriguing angle as an in-depth exploration into these sightings is heavily displayed. Narrated by Lule Blackburn the documentary has a very eerie and classical style to it. A style that makes the subject matter all the more intriguing. With various VFX reconstructions, reimagining witness statements the documentary is much more than your standard seated interviews and cut-video segments

Director Seth Breedlove keeps the documentary flowing and never takes the foot off the gas at any given moment. The actual subject matter is certainly bizarre but that is to be expected from Small Town Monsters productions. Their previous documentary The Mothman of Point Pleasant is a solid example of folklore explanation and this time around its no different.

We are taken on a journey to the heartland of the Midwest and there is clearly something peculiar occurring. Many folklore documentaries contain such little evidence to support any logical theory or explanation but Terror in the Skies has evidence on top of evidence. So many people couldn’t possibly be lying or wrong, numerous news stories and accounts all with such scarily accurate detail without deviation.
