Debra Morgan Returning to DEXTER For Show Revival

With rumours mounting by the day it does seem that Debra Morgan returning to Dexter is a very plausible concept.

Dexter Returns

10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the revival sees the character now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami.

Julia Jones (The Mandalorian) leads the new cast with Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), and Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird). Also Clancy Brown (Pet Sematary Two, Shawshank Redemption) plays the villain, Kurt Caldwell.

With filming now underway on the Dexter revival strangely enough Jennifer Carpenter posted a photo on a set dressed strangely enough like Debra Morgan and the timelines are too close together to ignore.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet and it’s mere speculation but Dexter Morgan is famously haunted by dead loved ones.

Could Debra Morgan be returning as a ghost apparition or guidance for Dexter throughout this new revival series?

It’s certainly plausible.

First, we had James Remar, the Ice Truck killer (Dexter’s brother Brian Moser) and now it seems likely that Debra Morgan will be joining that list of ghostly confidants too.

The revival series will be helmed by Marcos Siega for ten episodes.

Siega will also executive producer with Hall along with John Goldwyn Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, and Scott Reynolds.

Clyde Phillips who was showrunner on the first four seasons of Dexter will also return.

Regardless of Debra’s reintroduction or not the fact that this is finally happening after one of the worst series endings in modern times is a mouthwatering prospect.

Hopefully, they can write some wrongs of the last season and move forward in a new direction.

Whilst this revival series is only a ten-episode planned series, I can’t help but think that if the audience is still there and the ratings are good.. well.. it may not be the last we see of Dexter that’s for sure.
