The Disney Wish Star Wars bar will have a strict adults-only policy, no children allowed.
No children allowed. Those three words that every parent dream of hearing when seeking some peace and those three words where collective couples breathe a sigh of relief as it’s just one of the few areas/opportunities in life where screaming children will not ruin your day or evening.
The brand new Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge was created for the inner child in all of us adults as this party takes place within the Star Wars universe.
You’ll jump to various locations and sample drinks from planets such as Tatooine, Batuu, Mustafar, and Endor.
Senior Creative Director of Disney Imagineering Danny Handke spoke to StarWars.com about the project:
“We always talked about the fact that kids get to immerse themselves in Star Wars.
But as a grownup, and a parent, I’m jealous that I don’t have my own space on the ship where I can immerse myself in Star Wars, since Star Warsis multi-generational.
So we pitched the idea, ‘What if we did a lounge that’s for grownups only at night? It becomes an adult playground for the world of Star Wars.’ And everyone just loved that idea.”
With Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney and Walt Disney World proving to be such a big hit the Hyperspace Longue would provide a more sophisticated experience than the more pub / casual experience you get at Oga’s.
No children as far as the eye can see as you can relax in the company of grown-ups and travel through the galaxy through the bar viewport.
Consisting of several screen paned windows that will play a sequence that will take you through time and space. ILM has worked on the visuals and there are plenty of Easter eggs in the visuals for eager Star Wars fans to look out for.
The brand new Disney Wish ship will feature a whole new design concept and aside from the wonderful bar, there is a whole host of entertainment onboard for families, children and adults of all ages.
With a Cinderella-inspired main entryway to the shimmering chandelier the cruise aims to be the jewel in Disney’s crown as their plan for the Disney Wish is to make it the Disney Castle at sea.
Along with the first-class entertainment onboard the ship from the Walt Disney Theatre showing broadway-style shows to the immersive dining experiences and on-board water park, kids clubs, nightclubs and more the Disney Wish is certainly taking another step up the ladder in Disney quality and attention to detail.
With Avengers, Star Wars, Frozen and Mickey and Minnie themed experiences onboard there really is something for everyone.
Yesterday also marked the release of some first-look images of the rooms you could find on the Disney Wish from the standard inside rooms all the way up to the Royal Suites which are breathtaking in both visuals and price tag.
The Disney Wish is will by the shining beacon and the trademark ship within the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
There won’t be too long to wait until you can experience the Disney Wish Star Wars bar as the Disney Wish will set sail in Summer 2022!
