After the staggeringly good introductory episode of Dracula episode 2 solidifies just how strong this series is.
Dracula Episode 2 Review
Dracula is on a journey to England on board a ship. He has come onboard carrying boxes of Transylvanian dirt with him that keeps his immortality. Out at sea Dracula has his meals (victims) lined up for his long journey but Sister Agatha is on board ready to stop him at every opportunity.
One by one the crew fall but a plan is afoot. A plan to stop Dracula for good. We bounce back and forth but once again Dracula is the star of the show. His presence is spine-tingling.
His appearance oozes that Bela Lugosi swagger and he’s captivating to watch. You become fully immersed in the story and whilst this episode wasn’t as blood-soaked as the first it’s still one hell of a display.
This series is very unique in its delivery and it’s so brilliantly written. Everything is consistent, dark and foreboding.
It’s a story told numerous times but this somehow feels original and fresh.
I’ve seen mixed reviews for the series so far but if you’re a true fan of horror you can’t go far wrong with this one and that twist at the end was superb!
We haven’t had much to shout about when it comes to TV shows (yes, I’m looking at you BBC), but they’ve struck gold (or blood in this case) with this one!
