The World’s First Dragon Ball theme park is being constructed in Saudi Arabia as the giant Qiddiya project is set to host a world-famous IP.
Dragon Ball was first serialised in Japan’s weekly Shonen Jump comic magazine in 1984 and has since been adapted into movies, TV shows and movies distributed in more than 80 countries.
Dedicated entirely to the Dragon Ball universe of comics, movies and games the park will be centred around the world of Goku and friends and is the latest addition as part of the Qiddiya Investment Company’s project near Riyadh.
The theme park will be bigger than Tokyo Disneyland (500,000 sqm in size) and will feature rides and attractions in seven areas inspired by the series along with hotels and restaurants.
In a statement released this morning, it said that the attraction would be split into seven themed zones based on the magical dragon-containing balls that are pivotal to the series.
The Qiddiya Dragon Ball theme park will have a least 30 rides and include a 70-metre (230-foot) dragon at the centre of the site.
Guests will also be able to stay at themed hotel rooms and will indulge in exotic cuisines in towering landmarks. That giant tower you can see in the first image in this article looks like it will host a restaurant.
It is listed on the website that there will be 5 world’s first rides within the area and with Six Flags Qiddiya and a water park not far away this is slowly becoming a city geared to thrill seekers!
