After seeing viral videos of dybbuk box openings trending on YouTube, Texas resident Chris Chambers ordered a dybbuk box from the dark web and opened it live on video.
The results were near fatal as his condition progressively worsens and his encounters with demonic forces escalates by the day.
The encounters recorded by Chris Chambers have been studied by industry professionals and proven to be accurate recorded paranormal accounts.
Currently documented as one of the most supernatural recorded events to date.

Shot like an extended YouTube video mixed with an element of Paranormal Activity, Dybbuk Box: True Story of Chris Chambers wholly captures my attention.
The film is actually marketed as a documentary. The story is based on the viral challenge of opening Dybbuk boxes for views on YouTube.
Chris, our lead documentary subject attempts his very own unboxing with serious consequences.
Trailer
Throughout the runtime of this film I’m questioning if this is a hoax or if this is legitimate.
For a large proportion of the film it comes across as believable but certain bits towards the end make me question myself.
Everything seems so calm, I’m questioning if he’s acting. I’m questioning if his friend is acting.
I’m questioning the look of the box and its age, debating whether it was a highly detailed prop.

But what I then realise is that the whole paranormal world is a whirlwind of questions.
What is real? What is fake?
The fact the documentary asks these questions of a skeptic like me assures me i’m hooked regardless of whether it’s real or fabricated.

The documentary is said to be authenticated by paranormal experts but these experts are never mentioned.
No evidence of Chris Chambers or this paranormal experience can be found on the internet either.
This also flies a red flag. Surely a case like this would have been heavily documented.
I’m also sure that the team behind this film are smiling at my review expecting these ‘is it or isn’t it’ reactions from their feature.

Overall
I do love how this film never goes over the top (if it is fabricated). The events that happen within the film feel believable and are comparable to real-life paranormal case effects.
Either this is a genius hoax made to look like a real-life paranormal experience or it is indeed proof that demons exist. I guess the latter is for you to decide.

Summary
A feature that questions my sanity and my logical mind. A brilliantly stitched together indie documentary that has me both scared and skeptical!
