As soon as the Aquaman trailer dropped we all knew this was a DC movie unlike many we’ve seen before. There was colour, vibrance, humour and just being able to see everything taking place on screen is a remarkable step-up from the DC garbage that has been shovelled down our throats for many years.
With James Wan behind the project it was set to be very promising indeed. The guy knows his stuff and dares to be different. Aquaman is set to be released next month but the social media embargo has now lifted and the first critic reviews are coming out and they’re good!
Which Aquaman character are you?
Upon looking at the reviews however every single person has said three things. Humour, vibrancy and not taking itself too seriously. It seems as thou Marvel movies have FINALLY inspired DC filmmakers and creators to create something decent. It’s certainly not a dig at the movie or the filmmakers and there is certainly no shame in drawing inspiration from a superior (come on just admit it) competitor currently in the same realm.
I’m just glad that we finally have a good DC movie in the universe as my god it’s been a rough few years for those guys!
