The Star Trek: Wild Galaxy ride is set to open at The Land of Legends in Turkey in a few days and we were honoured to be given an exclusive tour of the ride before it welcomes its first few guests to ride.
Star Trek: Wild Galaxy will be a motion simulation experience with a Star Trek twist with lights, special effects and moving seats to fully immerse you in an experience which involves you warping into out of space. The ride is based on the Star Trek: Prodigy animation series.
Star Trek Ride Entrance

We are greeted with the entrance to the ride along with Cadet Gear which is the name of the shop that will stock all sorts of Star Trek-related goodies!
The concept art of the ride is slightly more exaggerated compared to the finished version but it still looks great and with the lighting package it becomes a whole different atmosphere at night.
Tucked up a corner as the exit the new indoor Bikini Bottom land Wild Galaxy will draw those with a curious nature inside and they certainly won’t be disappointed.
The Lobby

As we enter the attraction you are greeted with the lobby as you’ll see a rare and exotic creature inside the centre of a tube. There are screens which will introduce a variety of creatures under treatment.
This space is beautifully designed and consists of a wonderfully colourful mural above the tube that is so inviting. The lobby is certainly a great taster of the theming and immersion that awaits you as you head further into the ride.

I’ll leave a video a the end of this article so you can check out everything within the new Nickelodeon Land in addition to a walkthrough of the queue line for this brand-new Star Trek ride.
Exhibit Room

Within the exhibit room, you’ll be introduced to more creatures from exotic galaxies as you learn more about them and immerse yourself in the Star Trek universe.
Your journey with Starfleet has only just begun.

Biodome Room

During our visit the Biodome Room wasn’t fully operational as within the dome itself there are numerous animatronics that will be moving.
The biodome room is a treatment centre for sick creatures that are on the mend, here you can learn more facts and see them being nursed to health before your very eyes.
During our walkthrough, this area had the lights off and it was clear they were still adding more to it ahead of its open date.
Check out the concept art below for what it’ll look like when it opens.

Airlock (PreShow)

Within the Airlock Pre-Show, you are greeted with space suits and weapons along with a screen inside the room where you’ll meet Dal and his friends from the USS Protostar.
This will be your final stop before you board the ship.

Star Trek: Wild Galaxy Ride Theatre

Sadly, I wasn’t allowed to take photos in this area due to them still finishing it off. There were covers across all of the seats but I could vaguely make out the shape of a captain’s chair for everyone to sit on and the front of the theatre had hanger-like doors which would drop down revealing the screen before your experience began.
I couldn’t see any seatbelts of note underneath any of the covers but it reminded me of Star Tours except in a much bigger space.
There were speakers, lighting and special effects all rigged up and ready to go and it looked to be an immersive and fun experience for all the family without the movements being too vigorous.
The theming has been done beautifully and it only made me wish the Star Trek suite/rooms at the Nickelodeon Hotel next door were ready during my visit so I could see if the high levels of theming had transitioned into the hotel bedrooms.
We were told it was going to be open on March 10th but this was a projected and in no way confirmed date but one thing is for sure, a Star Trek indoor ride is certainly on its way and it looks great!
Beam me up Scotty!
