Italian Movie Reccomendations
Depending on your tastes this section is going to vary so I’ve tried to cover at least a range of movies for you to choose from at your leisure.
The Godfather

The ultimate classic and a film that has stood head and shoulders above gangster movies for years on end.
Francis Ford Coppola created a cult classic and it’s not just the first movie that’s worth your attention!
How about you get in all three (Godfather I, Godfather II and Godfather III) and have yourselves a gangster movie marathon?
Stealing Beauty

Not a big fan of violence, gangsters and mafia movies? Fear not, Stealing Beauty may just be the Italian movie for you.
Starring Liv Tyler and directed by Bernardo Bertolucci the story revolves around Lucy Harmon (Tyler) who returns to a Tuscan town where her mother once enchanted the local population.
After her mother’s death, Lucy plans to write poetry, learn more about her family history and rekindle an old flame.
Certainly one for the romantics out there and a film definitely suited to a cosy couples night in!
The Talented Mr. Ripley

Capturing the elegance of Italy in the 1950’s The Talented Mr. Ripley contains an all-star cast of Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Cate Blanchett.
The movie follows the story of the ultimate escapists who run away from their responsibilities back home to live in Italy.
