Future Fanfest is coming to Blackpool Winter Gardens as the event celebrates all things Back to the Future!
Back to the 1980s event & prop hire presents Future Fanfest, an exclusive one-day event held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on January 29th, 2022.
The event will celebrate the Back to the Future trilogy and will give fans the opportunity to experience custom set builds, props and replica vehicles as seen in the films.
One replica vehicle, in particular, will include the DeLorean DMC-12 catapulting you straight back to the movies and for the first time ever, the train from Back to the Future III.
Cosplay and photo opportunities aplenty in addition to ‘zoom style’ Q&As with some of the cast and crew from the films.
With the event being a one-day-only experience it really can’t be missed!
A percentage of ticket sales will go directly to TEAMFOX, the fundraising program of The Michael J. Fox Foundation which since 2006 has been raising funds and awareness for Parkinson’s research.
The tickets are limited and are selling out quickly!
Event organizer Mike Hutchinson is a specialist prop and vehicle supply from the most iconic 80s TV programs and movies.
He told the Blackpool Gazette:
This is a massive deal to the BTTF world and we were looking at releasing it to the world for the start of 2021.
Unfortunately due to Covid, planned events got cancelled. Instead of waiting around, we decided to release the train to the fans at are own event.
As massive Back to the Future fans we thought it would be great to put on an event from fans to fans. A percentage of the ticket sales will go to Team Fox.
I’m looking forward to coming back to Blackpool after the Scene Motion Picture Exhibition back in 2016.
Alongside the sets and main props there will be cosplay, photo opportunities as well as a “Zoom style” question and answer session with some of the cast and crew from the film trilogy.
