Ghost Adventures Harrisville Farmhouse Investigation Review

Ghost Adventures

Ghost Adventures

The house that inspired The Conjuring movie is the feature in the Halloween special of Ghost Adventures. Zak Bagans and the crew head to the Harrisville Farmhouse to investigate armed with EMPs, spirit boxes and two demonologists.

At the same time the devil’s rocking chair, a artefact involved in a real-life exorcism now resides at Zak’s Haunted Museum in Vegas. In this episode he decides to sit in it and see what goes down.

From strange noises to seeming possession this episode has it all. I must be honest thou, being the skeptic that I am, if I die and I stay a ghost, if my only limit is weird noises and making lights flash on a device I’m going to be annoyed.

I want to be a spirit that can throw people across rooms, move furniture and alter realities but all these communications are a little dull to say the least. If the limit of my power is making coat hangers wobble then I’d be one spirit suffering from performance anxiety.

I think if I was around Zak and the team on an investigation i’d believe anything they tell me. Sean, the earth is flat. Yup, totally agree. They’re very convincing but I just can’t wrap my head around why they always freak out over doors knocking and hearing little noises here and there. I stayed late one night at Paralysis Escape Rooms, a supposedly haunted building locally here in the UK.

I heard unexplained noises and I just carried on about my day because not everything is a big deal. These are grown ass men, you wouldn’t be freaking out over hangers swaying in a breeze. Man up.

I’d absolutely love to discover proof that spirits exist, it’s why I go to every paranormal event I can.

We know the show is there for entertainment value and without those reactions it would be a dull watch but there’s a limit between genuine reactions and over-reacting because you’re on camera. That much is true.

Overall despite the melodramatic performances it’s a damn good watch.

I’d love to go to the Haunted Museum and sleep in there for a night and see what happens I really, really would. But would Zak Bagans ever invite a brave nobody over for the experience? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
