Ghost Aventures Quarantine

Zak reveals a terrifying secret when the crew investigates the Dybbuk Box in the Haunted Museum. COVID-19 has spread fear worldwide, and the guys risk everything on the final night as they prepare to open the cursed relic in this supercharged atmosphere.

In other episodes leading up to this finale we’ve had two rooms or items of focus for an investigation, this time around only the Dybbuk Box is featured.

Focusing solely on this relic the show absolutely flies by with some interesting findings but also some questionable moments.

As a viewer (and a curious skeptic) it’s hard to really believe someones reactions without experiencing it yourself. It’s why the paranormal community is split between the curious and the believers.

Those who are passionate about it who haven’t experienced a thing and those who have experienced something and want to discover more.

The whole idea behind the box not being opened didn’t gel with me as back in 2016 the box was opened on Zak’s own show Deadly Posessions.

In that episode Kevin Mannis the original owner of the box opened it then went on a weird reenaction of a poem he had written.

Once again, there’s me not believing a word of it.

But only because I wasn’t there or experiencing it myself.

Get me on a flight to the Haunted Museum, get me to stay in there for a night THEN see how I feel about all of this when I emerge in the morning (If I emerge at all).

But in this episode there are some interesting findings picked up on microphones and cameras but the majority of the episode is the focus on Zak and how after touching the box he once again becomes ‘affected’.

I have the upmost respect for Zak and what he does but even I found this episode a little farfetched.

The last time the box was going to be opened a Rabbi declined to participate because he didn’t agree with the ‘narrative’ of what Zak was doing for the show.

He played down the box as being anything paranormal and a few days later sat next to Zak admitting that he mispoke and the box has power.

A strange little turn around you might say.

Whatever the case may be this was certainly a more embellished finale than it needed to be. It doesn’t need amateur dramatics to sell this box, it has a presence, it has the mistique, it sells admission tickets to the museum.

Just let it be.

Summary

Overall this series has been a breathe of fresh air. Wonderful documentation, some intriguing findings and an amazing look inside one of Vegas’s top attractions.

The finale would have been perfect had it not been amped up for broadcasting effect but as a whole, it’s been one hell of a show to witness.
