Zak and the crew head to Illinois in search of the spirit of infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy. Their investigation leads them to the Old Joliet Prison, where they hope to come face-to-face with the Killer Clown himself.

After quite an unusual (and sometimes hilarious) opening episode, this second episode of Serial Killer Spirits is a much improved. Zak and the team investigate the prison of infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy. Not only that but Zak actually holds a piece of John Wayne Gacy’s brain, kept by his very own psychologist after his death.

This eerie and quite frankly incredible moment transcends the screen. Holding a physical part of someone so evil, that experience alone of seeing Zak do that is well worth the episode watch in itself.
In addition to that feature in this episode, there is without a doubt the best display of paranormal activity I’ve seen on the show.

An item in Zak’s pocket is physically lifted out of his pocket and onto the floor! After replaying the clip over and over again I can’t for the life of me wrap my head around it.
His hands are elsewhere, there’s no jolt or movement of the leg to shake the item out, it just drops. It’s quite astounding.

Whilst the investigation is taking place in the prison where John Wayne Gacy was processed, there isn’t a great deal of activity. Everything seems more focused on the psychologist who assessed Gacy during his time in prison.
I personally found this episode to be far more interesting for that reason.
Definitely the better episode of the two in the series so far. Very much looking to seeing the next one!
