So today we finally got the Godzilla Vs Kong trailer and whilst hype around it was minimal it’s safe to say the final result was even poorer than I was expecting.

Our Godzilla Vs Kong trailer plays out like that Battleships movie starring Rhianna and then we glimpse CGI Kong who looks more Donkey Kong than anything else and it isn’t long before Godzilla turns up to destroy things.
The trailer begins with Kong in chains onboard a military aircraft carrier and the CGI carnage begins.
Being painted as the villain in this particular feature Godzilla is hell bent on destruction and the mighty Kong lands a jab that Mike Tyson would be proud of around the chops of the beast.
But it’s all a bit rubbish.
Shooting, shooting, shooting, explosion, explosion, explosion, CGI, CGI, CGI.
I’ll be absolutely astounded if there is anything in way of human character development here and instead sacrifice all the fundamentals for a CGI slugfest from start to finish.
I’m bored already.

What Warner Bros are getting horrifically wrong with DC right now they’re going the same way with the Legendary monsterverse route too.
Millie Bobbie Brown, Kyle Chandler, Rebecca Hall, Alexander Skarsgård, and Brian Tyree Henry just won’t be able to save this one.
Lets hope the other 16 titles that Warner Bros are releasing on the HBO Max platform in 2021 are better than this one.
I personally would have just waited two months until it hits theatres and HBO Max and kept going with the beautiful artwork that has been released for the film instead.
The second that trailer launched it just solidified what a simple effort this film will be thus painting yet another cinematic year of subpar movies and more delays of films we genuinely want to see.
Fearsome monsters Godzilla and King Kong square off in an epic battle for the ages, while humanity looks to wipe out both of the creatures and take back the planet once and for all.
