Ah Goon, a film that you cannot merely review and be done with it. A film that stays with you no matter how many hockey games you try to watch without thinking about it. Setting itself aside from many sports comedy movies on a stage of it’s own and with Goon: The Last of the Enforcers we’re back again on that solo stage rocking a meaty riff.
Take out it’s immature attempt at humour and you have a kickass hockey movie, surprisingly smart, hilarious in places and even at times endearing if you look past guys beating the snot out of one another.
Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott) is back and is now the captain of the Halifax Highlanders hockey team. However his captaincy is short lived and after a fight with an upcoming star by the name of Anders Cain (Wyatt Russell) Doug gets injured and his return is looking ever more unlikely.
A film about togetherness, rising up against whatever life throws at you and the countless other motto’s that a film like Goon brings to the table. It’s one hell of a good time. The tension between Doug and Cain throughout the movie is palpable and at the same time feels fitting that a once unstoppable force like Doug Glatt now has some competition to help him reevaluate his career as-well as his future.
I never thought i’d see the day when I’d enjoy a hockey movie. It’s a sport I don’t really care about nor wanted to watch in any shape or form until I saw the first Goon movie and now, well, heck. I just want to jump on a plane and go and watch a game just for the sake of it.

Summary
Lots of heart, laughs and blood thirsty brawls. Goon: The Last of the Enforcers is all you could ever want from a hockey comedy movie and it’s a fitting finish to the story of Doug Glatt and the Halifax Highlanders.
