The boys are back to brighten up our Christmas as we bring you our Gordon, Gino and Fred: Desperately Seeking Santa ITV Review.

Gordon, Gino and Fred are back for another extraordinary culinary Christmas adventure.
2020 has been an awful year to say the least and the three amigos are hoping to inject some much needed hilarity into our 2020 Christmas season.
Gordon has arranged the ultimate winter wonderland trip to Finland ending with a visit to Santa’s grotto in Lapland by the time the credits roll.
The trusty RV is back again but this time with a brand new Christmas lighting package that I’m pretty sure could be seen from a space telescope.
Lighting the path through the lucious snowy scenary the lads experience a treasure trove of festive fare.
Just like this year’s earlier Gordon, Gino and Fred series the culinary segments form the smallest part of this hilarious buddy road trip series.
This Christmas special aired only a few days after ITV announced that another two series of Gordon, Gino and Fred had been green lit along with another two Christmas specials.
The popularity of the series has gone from strength to strength and only minutes into watching any given episode, you can absolutely see why.
From Gino wearing a mankini to go ice diving in, to herding reindeer with snowmobiles there’s a little something for everyone to watch with scatterings of culinary treats making an appearance here and there.
From reindeer on an open fire to a beautifully crafted forest brewed coffee the episode brings my living room alight with incredible scenary and mouth-watering food.
Gino is on a mission to hand deliver a letter to Santa from his daughter Mia, Fred is keen to witness the once in a lifetime wonder of the Northern Lights and Gordon is eager that they all encounter the culinary delights of the country and chow down on some reindeer meat.
He knows it tastes delicious and is one of the healthiest foods you can put on your plate.
Served with buttery mashed potatoes, reindeer is eaten throughout the country in all seasons.
But the boys won’t just be eating Rudolph, they’ll be having a not so traditional Christmas feast with the Sami people, the only indigenous people within the EU who have been herding reindeer for centuries. And helping with the herding will enable the boys to better understand how these majestic and mythical Christmas creatures make such good meat!
What I love the most about the show is the chemistry that all three share and it seems the longer they spend with one another the more natural they come across.
Even Gordon seems to have cooled down a little in the Finnish air as he seems more relaxed and although hesitant to participate in a traditional tree hugging it’s a matter that Fred and Gino resolve rather quickly and hilariously.
As always Gino is the stand out comedian for me with every single eye-watering moment being delivered from our favourite ITV Italian.
From being dragged around a pen by a reindeer, ice diving, aurora domes and nearly burning the RV down there’s never a dull moment.
The time absolutely flew by, so much so that it was around 25 minutes into the show before we actually saw the trio preparing a meal.
The food merely serves as an entrée to this wonderfully crafted television gem.
Whilst every episode serves as a constant excuse for Gino and Fred to remove clothing there’s never a dull moment and I hope that the adventures continue not just for the newly comissioned episodes but for many more thereafter.

Speaking of the newly commisioned episodes Gordon Ramsay said:
Another three years with Gino and Fred, are you kidding me?
Just joking. Who knew, when we headed out to Italy in the summer of 2018, I would find friends for life in Gino and Fred?
We have already shared some incredible adventures, amazing food and plenty of hilarious disasters and pranks as we’ve road-tripped across Europe, America and this winter in Lapland, and I seriously cannot wait to do it all over again and again and again!
Gino D’Acampo said:
‘I am absolutely delighted that I will be making more fantastic shows together with my friends, as this programme starts to go seriously global.

I can’t wait to get back on the road with my two amigos. The party will never end!

Our Rating
Summary
They could make another 100 of these episodes and I’d never get bored.
The chemistry between all three guys, the bonding of three grown men embracing their inner childhoods.
It truly is the magic of Christmas and some laughter that we could all use a dose of after such a torrid year.
