This set is certainly not the cheapest but collectors edition/anniversary sets rarely are.
I could understand the price if the train was a solid construction but as listed on the sale page the train is made from heavy paper board.
The decision to part with that amount of cash for this anniversary set is completely up to you.
Anniversary/Collectors sets usually sell out quickly and many people regard them as investments as once sold out the prices skyrocket in most cases with many special edition sets.
