Heroes Eclipsed Spinoff Series in the Works

A spinoff series titled Heroes Eclipsed is in the works after the hugely successful original Heroes series.

Heroes Eclipsed

Heroes premiered on NBC in 2006 and it was met with huge praise and success and ran for a further three seasons and a 13-episode mini-series thereafter.

The series captivated an audience worldwide and Zachary Quinto (amongst others) suddenly became a household name

Deadline first reported that creator Tim Kring is looking to revive the franchise with a brand-new series.

Yet another spinoff in the works as Heroes Eclipsed is being pitched to networks and streaming services from Universe Television.

The series is set years after the events of the original series as new evos are awakened and discover powers that will change their lives.

A few familiar villains and new enemies will return to the series who will be attempting to suppress this next step in human evolution, it will be up to this new group of heroes to save the world.

Tim Kring is writing the series but is also serving as executive producer. It’s something he’s passionate about but further details on this superhero series are firmly under wraps.

I do worry about the success of Heroes Eclipsed purely because back in 2006 superhero movie/series fatigue wasn’t even a thing.

Now we have Marvel and DC churning out crap movie after crap movie, crap series after crap series and both are seeing dwindling numbers and interest in their product.

It’s very copy and paste across the board and Heroes was one of the first series that started our interest and intrigue off in a more series format (for modern audiences of course).

I’ll be very interested in seeing how well it does and wish Tim and the team all the best with this upcoming project!
