Another year, another Prop Store auction. Over 900 lots under the hammer to be sold September 30th / October 1st in Waterloo, London. In the run up to the auction Prop Store are hosting an exhibition at the BFI IMAX cinema where the auction will be held, so you can get up close and personal with some of these iconic props.

Michael Keatons Batsuit, the Holy Hand Grenade from Monty Python and even Jack Nicholson’s axe from The Shining are all on display. Surrounded by such a vast array of iconic props I had to jump on a train and head down to London to see these glorious pieces in person.
This is why I love going to check out the exhibition every year. It’s like walking into a museum of film history. The collection at the BFI IMAX every single year is always bigger and better than the year before. The mini display of items on offer always exceeds any film museum I’ve ever been to. To have such cinematic history all in one place is remarkable.

I was to extend a special shoutout to the Prop Store for continually supporting our site. Also a special thank you to CEO Stephen Lane for speaking to me in the above video. It’s always great to go down and spend time with Prop Store as they care so much about the hobby and the work and dedication that goes into the catalogue (let alone the auction) is astonishing.
