We checked into one of the most affordable Disneyland Paris hotels themed around the western characters in the Toy Story movie. We bring you this Hotel Cheyenne Disneyland Paris review.

YEE-HA COW BOY! Put your boots on, hang on to your hat and get on your horse!
Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne awaits you for an old-time Wild West escape. As a true cowboy experience the unique atmosphere a frontier town.
And you can even enjoy extra magic in the Disney Parks*.
As you approach Hotel Cheyenne you are fully immersed in this western world as the entire hotel and grounds is themed around a western town.

From the Sheriff’s office to the Saloon all of the buildings have this beautiful western facade with wagons lining the streets in addition to beautiful detailing and a wonderful river that flows alongside this western world.
Upon approach to the entrance of the hotel we were greeted by security, our first greeting with a staff member at the most magical place on earth and it wasn’t a great first impression.
A French lady and a gentleman asked to see inside our bags and as we were opening them, out of nowhere they were angrily shouting at us ‘OPEN YOUR BAGS NOW’.
Curious as to if I’ve picked up a bag full of ammunition or AK47’s I just couldn’t understand the anger and urgency behind a simple bag check.

Once they found a pair of pants and two GoPro’s inside there alongside a toothbrush they let me inside in a very rude ‘shooing’ manor.
It was a very weird experience.
Thinking that the security staff are probably from a different company where manners don’t exist I ignored this little roadblock and headed to my first meeting with an official Disney staff member.
An older gentleman greeted me inside Hotel Cheyenne and he asked me if I was checking in, I showed him my reservation and just before I could say “Yes” he rudely said “NO, you are not checked in, that is your reservation, go down there” and literally wagged his finger down the check-in line rudely.
Just two of many many many rude French people we met during our Disneyland Paris trip but I was expecting the general public to be rude (which they mostly were) not Disney staff members.

The happiest place on earth turned to the rudest place on earth within 20 seconds of entering the hotel!
As I was standing in line, a lady (Disney staff member) who was in full earshot of this mans rudeness took me out of the line and signed me up away from the check-in desk.
I think she was personally making up for the obnoxious staff member who I can’t for the life of me understand how he managed to get a job in customer service.

We were given our magic passes which are you entry cards to the park along with your room keys.
Each building in Hotel Cheyenne is a block of rooms to stay in, our block was Calamity Jane (situated towards the far end of Hotel Cheyenne) and into the room building we went.
Hotel Cheyenne is beautiful and it’s even more beautiful at night.

Our room was so cosy in its design with rustic cowboy theming, Toy Story art work and bathroom amenities and a boot lamp.
The very same boot lamp that when gazed upon for the first time was the one deciding factor in us booking into Hotel Cheyenne over other budget Disneyland Paris hotels.
I must say that both of the beds were absolutely rock solid but I didn’t care, I was in Disneyland Paris and I wasn’t breaking the bank by doing so.

If staff member manners were an optional extra I would have been obliged to pay.
The hotel is a quick 10 minute walk to Disney Village and it involves a rather scenic walk past the lake, Sequoia Lodges and even Hotel Santa Fe (Cars themed hotel).

It was so easy to walk to and from the park and the location was nothing short of perfect.
Hopefully during your stay you’ll encounter much more accommodating staff members like the third person we encountered on our trip.
If anyone from Disney is reading this please choose your front of house staff more wisely.
These are the first people you see if you’re checking into a Disneyland resort accommodation and they’re the first impression for any guests that pass through those doors.
That very same first impression can’t be refreshed.

Hotel Cheyenne is visually stunning, affordable, accessible to the park and looks the part and it even has a Starbucks on site, not to mention a Disney merchandise shop with a few cowboy attire items.
