House of Frankenstein After Dark has today been announced for 2023 after a sell-out 2021 and 2022 struck fear into the heart of Bath and all of those who dared to enter the attraction doors.

After a sell-out in 2021 and 2022, “After Dark, nights to die for” returns with a new horrifying theme and even more extreme psychological terrors this October.
2023 will focus on the theme of Revenance, the name originating from folklore to mean an animated corpse that is believed to have been revived from death to haunt the living. The word revenance is derived from the old French word, revenant, the returning.
From 6pm to 10:30pm the event will run between the 20th and 31st of October and promises an experience to remember.
Visitors will be immersed in an intense, psychological multi-sensory horror house exclusively from the Bath attraction dedicated to Mary Shelley and her legendary gothic tale, Frankenstein.

Usually a rather straightforward highly themed attraction House of Frankenstein usually keeps the ghosts and ghouls in the basements for the majority of the year. This all changes at Halloween as the ghosts and ghouls are allowed to roam free around the multi-storey building.
Set over five floors in a 300-year-old town house, the terrifying secret of 37 Gay Street is revealed, centring around a young girl believed to have been persecuted here some 200 years ago. Demonic beings, resurrected by satanic rituals, play out the terrifying childhood games of her cruel past. Will you navigate your way out to freedom, or become their despairing playmate for eternity?
Will you go out……After Dark?
Cloaked in darkness brave guests will be lured into twisted childhood games featuring live actors, special effects and disturbing aromas and soundscapes.
Brave the sinister underbelly of the House in the X-treme basement walkthrough experience which will be considerably ramped up from the usual public experience. We found the experience rather jumpy during our first ever visit. Check out the VLOG of our ordeal HERE

Once you’ve battled the building why not try your hand at deciphering the ramblings of a deranged mind within Victor’s attic Escape Room, and find your way to safety.
All of this getting a little too much for you? Fear not as you can steady your nerves in the atmospheric Bloody Mary’s Bar and sample the deadly “Death Wish” cocktail plus other frightfully good drinks.
Presale tickets from just £15 are on general sale from Friday 9th June: https://bookings.houseoffrankenstein.com/book
We throughly enjoyed our visit to House of Frankenstein. The use of aromas and detailed set pieces really brought the character alive. The cinema in the attic is a wonderful touch and there’s a little something for everyone.
