Many local cinemas are very anti-cuddle in their seat design.
Take Vue for example. They have beautiful recliner chairs for single comfort but the armrests are about 10 inches ride to accommodate the recliner.
Try reaching over that seat for a cuddle. I dare you! See how long you last.
Cineworld is just as bad as their armrests are slightly raised meaning your chest and side are going to take a battering during those long movie cuddling sessions.
Don’t even bother with Odeon. They’re just like the previous two but even more uncomfortable!
Odeon Luxe, however, would be the perfect cuddling cinema but at their prices that would be one expensive cuddle!
With all of the above cinema chains, you’re going to get a head on your shoulder and that’s about it.
If you’re happy with that then go ahead but I’m here for a good cuddle dammit!
So let’s take a look at some cinemas for cuddling.
Cuddle Friendly UK Cinemas
So whilst the big cinema chains are very anti-cuddle fear not there are some wonderful UK cinemas up and down the country that will cater those cuddling needs.
Hopefully, you’re not taking your first date to the cinema in the first place (shame on you) so this is certainly second and third date onwards territory.

Everyman Cinemas
With 33 UK locations, the Everyman Cinema is the perfect cuddle destination!
Just look at how comfy those seats look!
Speaking from experience of visiting the Everyman Cinema in Birmingham its the perfect spot to chill, have a nice drink and watch a movie with a significant other.
You can even have alcohol and food delivered to your seat during the movie!
This cinema has date potential written all over it.
Take a blanket with you and get comfy. It’s about to get cuddle crazy!

Genesis Cinema, Whitechapel
If you live in or around London you’re a lucky bunch of people there are SO many cuddle friendly cinemas in the UK capital.
Such a location would be the Genesis Cinema in Whitechapel.
The London based cuddle hotspot!
Similar to the Everyman cinema but with a small divider between the chairs, it’s no match for your cuddling skills and won’t destroy your ribs in the process!
If you want to step up the class EVEN MORE then a visit to Soho House is in order.
I’m pretty sure Meghan and Harry have cuddled in here once or twice.

The Light Cinemas
I was hesitant whether or not to include The Light Cinemas in this list as they are borderline a big chain cinema now but their armrests are comfy.
The Light Cinemas have low armrests that are padded too unlike that of Odeon, Vue, and Cineworld. With the addition of a footstool if you’re on the front row.
If you can traverse the very small width comfy armrest I’m sure you can have a damn good cuddle on these seats.
Just be careful though as The Light has seats that when you lean back the seat rolls back with you.
Make sure you’re both leaning back at the same time and you’re good to cuddle!
With 10 UK locations, I’m sure you can find your nearest one for a good snuggle.
