From Paranormal Activity Creator Oren Peli comes the future of augmented reality gaming. Night Terrors Bloody Mary: Reflections of Evil is a mobile app now available on Android and iOS that turns your home into a walkthrough horror attraction.
To be played solely at night you must turn out the lights in your home, plug in your headphones and the aim of the game is to survive. Imprezario Entertainment are the masterminds behind this step forward in horror gaming and Night Terrors: Bloody Mary has hit the ground running during its first week of beta release. The game is currently free to play until tomorrow when the app will be a paid experience.
What to expect from Night Terrors: Bloody Mary?

Expect the unexpected. When you insert your headphones the world around you is now Bloody Mary’s. With only the flashlight of your phone to guide you the immersive audio and impressive visuals suck you into the story. Jump scares a plenty as one would expect from an Oren Peli production with a simple storyline that involves you. Two girls have gone missing after saying ‘Bloody Mary’ three times in the mirror, it’s your job to investigate what has happened but you must dwell into Bloody Mary’s world and call her out yourself to truly find out the girls fate.

To start the game you have to place your finger on the screen and say her name three times. The voice recognition in your phones device won’t let you start the game until you have said the words three times. I really enjoyed this intro to the game as already you feel more immersed and as thou your device is a portal to the other realm and a device to help you during gameplay rather than just a player, playing a game on a phone.
Augmented Horror

All of the main scares and scenes in Night Terrors: Bloody Mary are not CGI. This makes the game more realistic and more relatable. There isn’t a horror title out there with this much scale or dedication in creating such scary content on a mobile app. There was a whole film crew on set shooting content for a mobile game just like there is for huge multi-million pound blockbuster games. This was a big project with even bigger ambitions!
So is it the scariest horror app ever made?

YES! Night Terrors: Bloody Mary is easily the scariest Augmented Reality game out on a mobile device to date. Nothing even comes close. Night Terrors Bloody Mary is a mobile game that turns your home into a walkthrough haunted house attraction. Are you brave enough to play? I will say thou however that the game needs a very high-spec phone to project the full experience. It’s a big game that needs a lot of processing power so bare that in mind before you download.
