With recent news announced that May 21, 2020, will be the day The Matrix 4 and John Wick 4 are released on the same day I pondered a thought.
Pure speculation of a 28-year-old mind fuelled by coffee and re-reruns of Two and a Half Men on TV.
Think about this for a second. My basic understanding (and let’s keep it basic so we don’t go too deep here) of The Matrix is that it is a plug-in world simulation created by machines to enslave the human race. The Matrix is a computer program that can replicate worlds.
The first Matrix movie was replicating the world circa 1999 when Morpheus first met Neo. Now think about this for a second.
If this world is replicated and the humans within then could it be possible that John Wick is a computer simulation created by the machines?
John Wick – An Avatar in the Matrix?
Movie after movie we see John Wick getting shot at and beaten to death. But he comes out of the situation with a few scratches and bruises. He’s on an infinite amount of lives and his fight sequences have a repetitious nature in how they unfold. Many moves are repeated and many kills are replicated. Much like kills in a video game.
Repetitious and pre-programmed to be executed in a specific way. John Wick could just be another avatar within another replicated universe created by the machines.
The ending of John Wick 3 left it near impossible for John Wick to survive. But as we all know computer system restarts and games reboot. Could this just be the segway for a restart ready for John Wick’s revival and the game (John Wick 4) to continue?
Certainly, something to think about!
Laurence Fishburne
Convenient casting or another avatar within the computer-generated world of the matrix? Fishburne appears in both The Matrix as Morpheus and as The Bowery King in John Wick. Could this be a coincidence or simply another level or MOD to the computer system in which these ‘avatars’ inhabitate? Both equally as connected to the Matrix as one another.
It’s plausible that these two characters would replicate in other machine created simulations.

When these films go head to head everyone will be seeing who the winner will be as these two heavyweights duke it out.
Whichever film picks up the No.1 Box Office title there’s only one winner here, Keanu Reeves. The guy is killing it in 2019 and 2020 looks to be another astounding year for this incredible actor.
Replicas moviefeels like a long, long time ago!
