Jurassic World Dominion London Trafalgar Square Display

Jurassic World Dominion London Trafalgar Square display has been erected today as fans of the franchise can come face to face with a life-size Gigantosaurus.

Gigantosaurus

Using first-of-its kind technology the dinosaur will be introduced to guests via an unmissable immersive experience that will run from Wednesday May 25th up until Sunday May 29th.

Teaming up with VFX leaders at Industrial Light and Magic this virtual production technology comes from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.

Using an 8m x 8m high-resolution LED screen, the Trafalgar Square background will be recreated from LiDAR scans and photogrammetry.

The Giganotosaurus will then be composited onto a screen in front of this 3D background. The entire composition will be lit based on environmental conditions on the day by technicians from Territory Studio London.

The movie is the first to bring this technology to the public and visitors will have the opportunity to capture their experience with the dinosaur.

They will also be able to explore a specially built Dinosaur Tracking Base displaying artefacts from the films including a model of Velociraptor Blue, a dinosaur egg incubator, and a cast of the only Giganotosaurus skull ever discovered, which was uncovered in the Candeleros Formation of Patagonia in 1993.

The Jurassic World Dominion London Trafalgar Square event is free of charge with no pre-booking required and the dates that it will be available to witness are as follows:

Wednesday 25th May – 11am-8pm

Thursday 26th May – 10am – 6pm
