With us already into the the second half of the first season we take a look at Kate and Koji episode 4.

When word reaches that a storm is headed for town, Kate refuses to step in line, much to the grief of Councillor Bone.
Koji discovers he has been given a jacket with an unfortunate history, and Medium may have lost Kate a lot of money on the horses.
With episode 3 being the weakest link in the ITV series so far I was worried that the series was already on a downward spiral.
During episode 3 thou however we had our first full outdoors scene and seeing the show outside of the cafe’ setting was refreshing. It was also an hilarious scene which managed to change the dynamic of the show up.
The opening of the episode 4 began with a Piers Morgan joke that hit flat. At this current moment in time he’s one of the very few people talking sense on TV at the moment. Straight to the point common sense that even people who usually despise him just can’t argue with.
This episode was shot before the Coronavirus pandemic thou however so all can be excused.
What follows is an exploration of project fear as a storm is approaching the seaside resort.
Everything is a bit dull until Koji arrives to liven up proceedings. Jimmy Akingbola and Blake Harrison have great banter and they bounce off each other ridiculously well throughout this episode.
My last complaint with episode 3 was the fact that up until this point the relationship between Kate and Koji still hasn’t been explored. He’s just there in the cafe’ and there conversation is mostly minimal.
Overall
Once again this episode doesn’t explore the episode between Kate and Koji which defeats the object of the show. Koji once again is there ‘there’ and the relationship between him and Kate is limited to a few exchanges rather than any form of heart to heart.
With 2 more episodes to go Kate and Koji has a very short time to explore this relationship but it’s still worth watching for a little chuckle.
There’s still laughs aplenty and it’s certainly a refreshingly funny show in the ITV weekday calendar.

Summary
A good show for a few laughs now and again but I really would love to see the relationship between Kate and Koji explored as this was supposed to be the whole idea of the show whereas absolutely nothing of note has come to fruition as of yet.
