Arguably one of the funniest men on the planet right now we choose our top 10 Kevin Hart best movies.
I personally think I could have added another 10 or more to this list but let’s dial it down to 10 and 10 incredible movies at that.
This list is in no particular order.
About Last Night

One of Kevin’s older roles is the 2014 movie About Last Night.
The film revolves around two new couples as they deal with the difficulties, challenges and experiences of falling in love.
The film stars Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, Regina Hall and of course Kevin Hart.
Regina Hall absolutely steals the show but Kevin just manages to stand on his own two feet in this one.
The chemistry between Regina and Kevin is hilarious as they play this loud, crazy couple whereas Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant are the more conventional couple.
If Regina and Kevin teamed up in more movies we’d have comedy tag-team gold for life! It almost feels like they went off-script at every opportunity and delivered natural comedy rather than forced scripted comedy.
Both are throwing enthusiasm and heart into this rather amazing rom-com flick.
Central Intelligence

Dwayne and Kevin are the perfect comedy duo tag team and this was the first film project they shared together.
The birth of an iconic comedy duo in which Johnson plays a former high-school outcast that has now become a CIA agent whereas Kevin plays a former popular kid at school whose life isn’t really progressing.
The two reunite through a chance meeting and Kevin’s character Calvin gets caught up in a dangerous mission where lives are at stake.
Whilst this isn’t the funniest film that the pair have been a part of, it was certainly a fun film to watch nonetheless.
The Upside

The film that took everyone by surprise as Kevin stepped out of his usual comedy sidekick role and took on a more serious challenge.
Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart star as Hart plays Dell Scott, a man who has been released from prison who is looking for work.
Cranston plays Philip Lacasse, a rich quadriplegic looking for a new in-home caregiver.
The film is based on a true story and is a very inspirational story with Cranston and Hart providing such lovely chemistry and bond on-screen.
Many critics were hit and miss with the response of the film but I found it to be very endearing and had some genuinely hilarious and heartwarming moments.
A solid comedy-drama and a film that deserves pride of place in this Kevin Hart best movies list.
Think Like A Man

For me, this feature isn’t as strong as About Last Night but takes on a similar romantic comedy tone.
The film revolves around a best-selling dating advice book by Steve Harvey as numerous women use the book as guidance for their own relationships.
Kevin plays a character called Cedric and is the sole comedic relief within the movie.
With numerous memorable lines it’s a good film but certainly one of the weaker ones within this particular list for me.
Purely down to the fact that Kevin plays more of a backseat role in this one rather than a leading man.
Fatherhood
Kevin’s latest role once again has him stepping into a more mature role and the hard work pays off.
Fatherhood is a wonderful film about a single male parent and the struggles of raising a child single-handed.
Getting good critic reviews from surprising outlets and surprising many, Kevin showed the world that he’s not just a one-trick pony.
Out of these Kevin Hart best movies choices I certainly think his more serious roles stand head and shoulders above the comedy, I really do.
Fatherhood is currently available and streaming on Netflix.
Ride Along

Teaming up with Ice Cube we have Kevin Hart playing a wannabe cop as he takes a ride along with his stern-faced future brother-in-law Ice Cube.
Ride Along is a buddy cop comedy that somehow also feels like a coming of age story.
Ice Cube cuts such a stern figure throughout the movie that it feels like Kevin is trying to prove himself to this older guy from start to finish.
All for the affection and approval he needs so that his brother-in-law will be accepting of him marrying his sister.
It’s such an odd couple match but it pays off and the box office numbers certainly proved that.
The film raked in $154.5m from a budget of $25m despite poor reviews.
With two movies already released in the series, there are rumours of a Ride Along 3 in development too!
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle / Jumanji: The Next Level

I have to put both of these films in, they surprised the world and whilst they will never live up to the Robin Williams version they stand on their own two feet.
The movie follows four friends who are transported inside an old video game.
With a stellar cast, the movie stands out because it respects the original.
It respects it so much that it stays absolutely as far away from the original plot as humanly possible taking a leap into a more modern style of Jumanji.
Jack Black, Dwayne Johnson, Nick Jonas and Karen Gillan absolutely deliver and embrace the insanity of the movies.
This is the perfect film to watch on the big screen, the perfect fun action blockbuster that delivers in every department.
The Wedding Ringer

Certainly not a personal favourite of mine but a role that Kevin was certainly proud of.
For me, The Wedding Ringer is the Josh Gad show from start to finish with both Kevin and Kaley Cuoco taking a back seat on this one.
Kevin plays a professional best man named Jimmy Callahan who charges people to become their best man at weddings.
With Doug Harris (Josh Gad) having no friends he enlists Jimmy’s services for his upcoming nuptials with Kaley Cuoco.
A woman who is out of his league by a country mile but she’s certainly after more than just his cute, fuzzy comedic charm.
For me, The Wedding Ringer feels very copy and paste from other bromance comedies before it but it’s still an enjoyable if predictable watch.
Get Hard

Whilst I found some of the press tour interviews/games funnier than the film itself this 2015 comedy saw Kevin team up with Will Ferrel in Get Hard.
The movie revolves around James (Will Ferrell) who is heading to prison but before he does he hires Darnell (Kevin Hart) to teach him how to ‘get hard’ and survive in prison.
What James doesn’t know though however is that Darnell (Hart) has never been to prison and is only faking it to get the $30,000 that James is paying him for the lessons.
Yes, it’s funny, in parts. But it really isn’t much to write home about compared to other films in this list but there are indeed some laugh out moments and there is certainly an audience for a film like this one.
Out of these Kevin Hart best movies choices, which one is your favourite?
