Fans of Guns N’ Roses and Star Wars rejoice as Green Child O Mine drops online from The Merkins.
Featuring a rock version of Baby Yoda this music video comes from The Merkins who are notorious for prop and geek culture spoofs.
This hilarious song features various clips from The Mandalorian mashed together with a Boba Fett band styled after the iconic original band members Axl, Slash, Duff and Izzy.
I love how the lyrics flow so effortlessly and whoever sung the vocals has their Axl Rose impression absolutely nailed down to a tee.
I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty confident a backing track has been used with the vocals over the top, the slow / music sounded identical to the original.
If that was a band covering the song then that’s one hell of a job but i’m definitely going to go with a backing track for the time being.
Unfortunately the copyright gods took the video down from The Merkins official channel days after it dropped but we know it’s out there on the net for you to enjoy and has even been re-uploaded on other YouTube Channels!

Out of the ridiculous amount of spoof songs The Merkins have done this surely has to be one of my favourites!
We need plenty more songs like this to get us through this crazy lockdown period.
YouTube binging seems to be my favourite lockdown hobby so I’m always on the lookout for crazy videos and hilarious songs.
It’s been a while since the days of Weird Al has a spoof song caught my attention with such catchy lyrics.
