Next to the Werewolf spinning coaster titled ‘Curse of the Werewolf’ one ride in particular is set to be the scariest ride that Universal has ever created.

Introducing Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment

The story of the ride revolves around Dr.Victoria Frankenstein who is the great-great-granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein, she wants to bring good to the name Frankenstein but we don’t know if her intentions are good or evil.

She has captured in an attempt to control them but Dracula has other plans.

Universal is promising one of the world’s most immersive dark rides and with photos released in addition to footage it seems as though the ride system is a KUKA robo-arm style ride similar to Batman Knight Flight at Warner Bros Abu Dhabi and sister Universal attraction Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

This was further confirmed when Universal teased animations of the monster characters which is typically common with robot arm-style rides as physical sets and digital media combine for a fully immersive experience.

Both Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Batman Knight Flight are incredible experiences but with the sheer size of Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment this could be a lengthy and fully immersive horror experience like no other.

Take a look at the team discussing the Dark Universe land with a strong focus on this mammoth dark ride set to open at Universal Epic Universe in 2025.

Universal promises that inside Monsters Unchained you’re going to see things that defy what you know of in a theme park attraction and we’re buzzing to see what more details are unveiled about this unique horror-themed attraction.
