Texas Chainsaw Massacre Netflix

Yet another direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) dropping early 2022 as Netflix takes the franchise in a new yet familiar director.

The film sees Leatherface return after almost fifty years hunting down a whole new batch of fresh faces.

Elsie Fisher is set to star as Lila, Sarah Yarkin as Melody, Nell Hudson as Ruth and Jacob Latimore as Dante.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Netflix Cast

Texas Chainsaw Massacre synopsis:

Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture.

But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.

The film is directed by David Blue Garcia and we’ll also be seeing the return of a familiar face as Olwen Fouéré is set to reprise her role as original survivor Sally Hardesty.

A few hours after we completed this write-up the official trailer was unleashed upon the world.

Not much was revealed in the trailer although some of the imagery will be very familiar to fans of the franchise.

I’m looking forward to it, if the Chucky series can revitalise a classic franchise then there’s no reason why this one can’t do the same.
