The first official trailer for James Bond No Time to Die has just landed and boy oh boy do we have a lot to take in.
In this 2 and a half minute trailer, there’s so much going on that we’ve tried to break it down for you.
I’m pretty sure we’ve missed off loads of key elements within the trailer but we weren’t expecting it to be so long.
Usually, with long trailers, the movie is spoiled from start to finish. Thankfully, with this particular trailer, nothing is spoiled too much!
So here’s our No Time to Die Trailer Breakdown
Lovers Tiff

The opening of the trailer starts off in the beautiful (yet battered) Aston Martin DB5 amidst a car chase.
Bond and his partner Dr. Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) are having a little argument about betrayal. James Bond obviously accusing her of something that happened just before this chase took place.
Quite the contrast from where we left off 5 years ago in Spectre as they were playing all but happily families up until this point.
It seems as thou a secret of Dr.Swann’s has come to light and as a result has put them both in danger. Pure speculation, of course, judging from the brief little scene we see here.
There may be a more simple explanation as she forgot to renew the new Sky Sports package and James Bond feels betrayed now he’ll miss out on some great sports programming. Who knows?
Old Friends

As we all expected, Bond’s retirement was never a long term plan. In this scene, it seems Bond’s old CIA buddy Felix (Jeffrey Wright) is persuading Bond to get back in the game.
It seems to me that we’re always bailing out the Americans in these James Bond movies.
First James had to cover Felix’s ass in the card game in Casino Royale and fast forward a few favors later and here we are again!
Female replacement?

It seems since Bond has been in retirement that he has been replaced by another agent. Nomi (Lashana Lynch) looks to have received 00 status and may have even inherited the 007 status. This was hinted at in this particular scene.
Whilst a standalone female bond wouldn’t be my cup of tea it does seem as thou this angle has been addressed in No Time to Die. Where they take it moving forward is anyone’s guess.
00 Who?

You can tell it’s been a while since James Bond has checked in! This hilarious scene shows the receptionist having absolutely no idea who James Bond is!
Blofeld is Back

After a questionable reveal of Blofeld being Bond’s adopted brother in Spectre, I wasn’t aware he would be making a return.
I’m sure it has been announced everywhere but I was taken aback seeing him in the trailer.
Locked up in a similar style to Javier Bardem’s character in Skyfall the whole trailer has winks and nods to previous Daniel Craig installments of 007.
Blofeld also seems to know more than he’s letting on especially when it comes to James and his past.
Rami Malek Reveal

We all hide behind masks. But in this trailer, we get to see Rami Malek’s character with and without the mask.
His first reveal comes in a very chilling (excuse the pun) scene on the ice. With various hints to experimentation. It all seems a bit secretive at the moment.
The master plan hasn’t been revealed just yet but it seems as thou his character has had it rough with various burns to his face.
Maybe these burns are a result of human experimentation to enhance his abilities?
I really hope they don’t go all Hobbs and Shaw with this, my god that film sucked.
Bulletproof

For a guy being shot at in a DB5, I’d be worried not only for my own safety but the damage being done to my beloved car! Thankfully the car is bulletproof but it’s going to cost a fortune to fix the damage!
I hope you liked this No Time to Die trailer breakdown. Did you spot something we missed?
