Rage Room Stockport Review: Embrace the Rage!!

A huge thanks to Trapp’d for inviting us down to Rage Room Stockport (AKA Destroy’d) and allowing us to vent some anger for 60 minutes or so!

Destroy'd Stockport

A rage room for those who don’t know is a controlled environment where you smash, break and go absolutely crazy on a range of bottles, printers, plates, monitors and anything else the company in question can get their hands onto.

Take out your stress and vent your anger on a variety of objects to throw, beat, dismantle in any way you see fit.

Rather than the calm and tranquil ways of stress relief such as yoga and meditation a rage room allows you to get out that frustration with a good ol fashioned beat down.

Rage Room Stockport is part of the Trapp’d group of escape rooms / rage room experiences and they have two rooms to choose from at the Stockport location.

One rage room is a longer corridor style room so you can throw items down whereas the other room is more centralised around a central wooden table to beat down whatever items you choose.

From sledgehammers to bats and even a shovel (which may or may not have been for staff to tidy up the mess) were weapons of choice but nothing quite says stress relief than beating down a printer with a sledgehammer.

Armed with overalls and a protective visor and gloves you can beat down the items to your hearts content.

What I will say is to wear boots or footwear that can withstand glass / shards as the rage rooms are never going to be clean and there’s lots of glass all over the place so becareful.

Smash those items and burn those calories as this is one workout you won’t forget anytime soon!

If I did have any negatives of the experience I’d certainly point out the price which stands at £45 for 30 minutes but there’s no information on the website in regards to group sizes.

Me and Jim were allowed to smash up things all day if we wanted as part of our review experience but general public would naturally be paying this amount for a 30 minute session only.

If there was a group size of 3 or 4 (if allowed) this would be fine but if you’re going with a friend or even on your own to take out some frustrations they’re certainly cheaper ways of channeling that anger that’s for sure.

All the same, Rage Room Stockport is a great place to let it all go in a frenzied rage and destress.

It’s absolute mayhem but it’s great fun!
