We caught a few but can you name all of the Resident Evil 3 remake movie cameos/references?
After the success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, the third one is here keeping us all busy in times of global crisis.
Nothing quite says entertainment like laying waste to a horde of flesh-eating zombies!
A series of strange disappearances have been occurring in the American Midwest within a place called Racoon City.
A specialist squad of the police force known as S.T.A.R.S. has been investigating the case, and have determined that the pharmaceutical company Umbrella and their biological weapon, the T-Virus, are behind the incidents—though they’ve lost several members in the process.
Jill Valentine and the other surviving S.T.A.R.S. members try to make this truth known, but find that the police department itself is under Umbrella’s sway and their reports are rejected out of hand.
However, soon reports of a grisly “cannibal virus” begin to surface, and vicious dogs begin roaming the streets. With the viral plague spreading through the town and to her very doorstep, Jill is determined to survive.
However, unbeknownst to Jill, an extremely powerful pursuer has already been dispatched to eliminate her.

Resident Evil 3 is out today and already we’ve spotted some movie cameos in the game itself that we’d love to share with you today.
As Jill meets Carlos at an underground station in the game there are various posters dotted around.
These posters give a wink and a nod to some infamous Hollywood blockbusters.
Some we got straight away and others I’m still left scratching my head over as they could be from numerous movies.
We’ve got Alien, we’ve got Terminator, we’ve got the Tom Cruise Top Gun and Risky Business combo but what are the others?!
Here’s where I hand it over to you guys. See if you can guess the movie references that this ‘so-called’ movie buff hasn’t got a clue about!
Resident Evil 3 Remake Movie Cameos
Let’s get the easy ones out of the way then, shall we?
So, first of all, we have Alien and Terminator. Both easily recognizable posters and I love how the terminator figure is within the Xenomorph costume here.
Then we have the Tom Cruise double deluxe special with Top Gun and Risky Business here.
1942 is also a retro shooting arcade game.
This is where we go a little fuzzy.
The left image looks like if Critters and The Big Lebowski did some sort of cross over.
The war film on the right could be any number of films.
Any guesses?
The Cthulhu on the left could very well be Jane-Claude Van Damme’s Legends of Cthulhu, both this poster and the real poster have the same green tint to it.
The movie on the right could be Piranha, 47 Metres Down with a Piranha twist or something else entirely.
As far as these two go I haven’t got a clue! The right movie could be Enders Game as the suit looks very similar.
The left image had me thinking it was a The Dead Don’t Die reference or a Zombieland style reference but I’m drawing a blank here.
The game has been well-received so far.
The Guardian called it a “Uniquely Apposite Reboot” and Eurogamer said at times it’s “Brilliant”.
