Rocky Johnson, legendary wrester and father of Dwayne Johnson has sadly passed away aged 75.
Rocky Johnson Dead
A huge name in the wrestling world has sadly left us today. A man who became National Wrestling Alliance Georgia Champion and NWA Southern Heavyweight Memphis Champion and many other titles over his long career.
Rocky Johnson retired in 1991 and alongside friend and fellow wrester Pat Patterson trained his son Dwayne Johnson to wrestle. Dwayne would go on to becoming one of the biggest names in wrestling history and arguably of all time.
In February 2000, Rocky Johnson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame along with his father-in-law Peter Maivia. Dwayne inducted them both at the Hall of Fame ceremony.
The cause of death is currently unknown but many messages of condolence have been absolutely flooding in over the last hour since the announcement. A sad day in the wrestling world indeed. My thoughts go out to all the family in this extremely sad time.

I always remember meeting Rocky Johnson at Showmasters comic-con he was having a bad day and looked grumpy as hell but when I asked him for the photo he was so kind and warming even thou it did seem as thou he was tired and didn’t want to be there. A short experience with the great man himself but a memory all the same.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of the great Rocky Johnson. Always a gentleman, I always enjoyed talking with him. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the fans who loved him. A very sad day for wrestling.#RIPRockyJohnson pic.twitter.com/4agKbOzAry
