As Scream 7 is debuting in cinemas this week it also means that the first teaser for Scary Movie 6 has dropped via a ‘leak’ and by leak I mean Marlon Wayans himself wearing Meta glasses going into the cinema to record his own teaser.
Whilst this video has stayed up some other folks have recorded it and uploaded it themselves and these have received takedown notices but the videos are going up far quicker than they’re being taken down so we managed to check out the trailer and let me tell you, this film is going to be comedy GOLD!
The original cast and creative team are all back in this instalment as Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Keenen Ivory Wayans are back in the hot seat with Anna Faris and Regina Hall reprising their iconic roles as Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks.
Opening with the Subway setting from Scream 6 there are a number of masked characters before we see M3GAN transform into Ghostface before the first joke hits and it’s a stab at the pronoun brigade, instantly I know the writers, producers, director and stars are my kinda people and the joke hits home immediately.
In the sneaky cinema footage you can hear the audience laughing at every joke as the team have promised that ‘Every line will be crossed’ as they don’t care who they offend in a bold statement to bring comedy back, something that has been lost in cinemas for many many years now.

The previous five films earned over $896 million worldwide but the originals (with the Wayans involved) were always the strongest with Scary Movie (2000) being one of the highest-earning R-rated horror films of its time.
The teaser is only short but we instantly get a whopping 11 films parodied within such a short timeframe as we see Smile, Scream 6, Sinners, Get Out, M3GAN, Weapons, Heart Eyes, Terrifier, Malignant, The Substance and Final Destination all parodied whilst Cindy is sporting a Laurie Strode haircut from Halloween Kills and Brenda is sporting a Ma hair-cut.
It’s going to be a challenge in itself to name all of the horror films they’re spoofing but I absolutely can’t wait to see this on the big screens, the world is crying out for comedy once again.
This film is for the OG’s who grew up with the franchise so it’s my opinion that the younger generation in this instance can kiss my old ass, this movie is for us! Roll on June 12th!
But without getting TOO carried away, it would be great to bring in a younger generation that are more open to not being offended at everything and to simply enjoy a good time with friends watching comedies on the big screen. Those were the days and by the looks of this calendar year, the best is yet to come!
Scary Movie is back baby and it’s going to be a Scream!
Paramount Pictures are having one hell of a 2026 with Scream 7, Scary Movie 6 and the upcoming Jackass movie under their belt. There is no competition for them this year, they’re killing it and with them set to take over Warner Bros after Netflix pulled out of the race the studio really is going from strength to strength!
