This week is the week of Ghostface as he arrives back on the big screen this Friday and the Scream 7 final trailer has been released ahead of its opening.
Seeing Neve Campbell back in the franchise is such a driving force for what is going to be a very successful box office release, something obvious and apparent the second it was announced.
Yes, we had some behind-the-scenes drama over the last 12 months but now all of that rubbish has gone we can look forward to this new arrival with more excitement and less controversy.
Sidney Prescott is the star of the show as this time Ghostface is back with a personal agenda against our star as ‘the final girl’ will be put to the test as she has been since the debut of the original 1996 classic.
Kevin Williamson, the screenwriter who penned the original 1996 classic is directing this one so this return to the OG feels somewhat full circle, but will this be the last Scream movie? I’m going to say no because as we all are aware by now if the box office hits a certain number, there’s always more to be made nowadays!
It’s a shame it’s like that nowadays but I won’t complain if more Scream movies head to the big screen just like I’ll never complain if Jackass movies are made until they’re all 80 years old.
Another Paramount release by the way.
Sidney’s daughter Tatum (Isabel May) is also a target in this one and Courtenay Cox returns again as Gale Weathers but no other cast announcements are known other than the potential rumour of Matthew Lillard returning in some shape or form as Stu Macher which would be very special indeed!
Scream 7 arrives in theaters February 27, 2026 and you can check out the final trailer below:
